Laundering and Care of Bed Linens

It is important that you follow the care instructions with your sheets.

The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage to your sheets due to improper care.  Many of these fabrics will shrink if they are not laundered in a safe manner.  These guidelines are offed to assist in the care of your bed linens.

 

 Poly Cotton 50/50 Percale:

  Cold or warm water wash.• Permanent Press dryer setting• Darker colors should be washed separately. Adding 1 cup white vinegar to the wash will help eliminate dye bleeding.

• To minimize pilling, remove from dryer immediately after cycle ends, and avoid using fabric softener, or wearing oils or creams to bed.

 

100% Cotton T-250/T-300/T-400/T-600 and Bamboo

 • Cold water wash• Line or Tumble Dry• To minimize wrinkles, place on bed immediately after drying.• To minimize or eliminate pilling, remove from dryer immediately after cycle ends, and avoid using fabric softener, or wearing oils or creams to bed.

• All cotton will shrink slightly the first time it is washed. Your sheets will appear slightly too large before washing.

 

100% Cotton Flannel

 Cold water wash• Line or Tumble Dry• Darker colors should be washed separately. Adding 1 cup white vinegar to wash will help eliminate dye bleeding.• To minimize pilling, remove from dryer immediately after cycle ends, and avoid using fabric softener.

• All flannel will shrink the first time it is washed. Before laundering, your sheets should seem slightly too large.

 

Bridal Satin

 Cold water wash• Line dry, or cool dryer setting• Darker colors should be washed separately. Adding 1 cup white vinegar to wash will help eliminate dye bleeding.• Do not let the fabric come into contact with undiluted detergent, fabric softener or other chemicals. Always pour detergent or fabric softener into water, not on fabric.  Strong chemicals, such as nail polish remover, paint thinner, etc, will destroy your satin sheets almost instantly.• Rough surfaces will abrade your satin sheets and cause them to wear more quickly. 

Silk  

  • Hand washing in mild soap and occasionally adding white vinegar to the water helps preserve silk’s luster for years.
